Who am I now…
I look back on the About (OG) and realise I started this blog about 8 years ago. I had no idea how my life would change in such a short period of time. I have no regrets but I certainly hope the next 8 years are not as chaotic…
What’s changed?
Let’s see – I was married, living in a family home, two children still living at home. Now – Divorced (for the better), living in an apartment by the beach. Both children doing great in their respective careers and the absolute joy of my life – a granddaughter and a grandson on the way.

What’s next…
Turning 60 in 2024!
It’s time to re-evaluate where I am, what my life looks like and where I want to be in the coming years. I think back to when I turned 30, 40 and 50 – I remember it didn’t bother me to turn 30, it was 31 when I freaked out – I was 30 something…
40 was tumultuous, if I’m honest, it was really when my marriage should have ended but as a woman, a mother and stubborn as hell, I wasn’t going to fail – oh, famous last words.
50 – it took me another 10+ years to realise I wasn’t happy, my kids weren’t happy and change was needed. It could never have prepared me for the change that came my way. I’m not going to rehash this – if you don’t know the story – head back over to ‘Destinations’ find the post from December 2018 titled “Regaining my life…” – the juicy bits are there.
Where to from here? My new journey – 1964 to 2024 – The year of 60! For the next year, I’ll blog my way through my sixtieth year, sharing the journey with you. I’m going to at least try and commit to writing weekly – no guarantees however! By the time you look 60 in the eye, you tend to have an attitude of ‘I don’t give a damn’…
Let’s see where this goes – join me as share the good, the bad and the ugly… I might even see if I’m clever enough to add some video content!
When I google turning 60 in Australia this is what shows up!
I’m off to investigate…
